When they avoid church they avoid God. When they avoid the people of God they avoid God. When they sin they avoid God. When they avoid serving Him they avoid God. Most of the time, when they watch TV they avoid God. When they don*t pray they avoid God. When they don*t trust Him they avoid God. When they avoid God they avoid love, life and a multitude of blessings. They avoid joy, peace, goodness, faith, gentleness, righteousness, truth, holiness, forgiveness, correction, eternal pleasures, guidance, wisdom, knowledge, The Best Teacher, peace of mind, a purified heart, a purified conscience, a changed life, protection, freedom, a more abundant life, self-control, satisfaction, His provision, His companionship, His fellowship, miracles, eternal life and Heaven itself to name just a few things. When they avoid God they avoid THE PERSON THEY NEED THE MOST, the Provider of every good and perfect gift. James 1:17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. |
